William Harris

M, b. circa 1620, d. 1717
      William Harris had a house-lot granted to him in Rowley, adjacent to the lot of John Harris 1643. His wife Eedy or Edith was admitted to the church at Charlestown, in 1642. They removed to Rowley before 1646, and their daughter Mary was born. William Harris bought land in Malden of his step father William Stitson (?), and sold the same 4 December 1652, his wife Edee relinquishing dower. At that time he seems to have been living in Charlestown, where he was also in 1653, and was called "yeoman." He bought a house and land in Hartford, CT, of Willima Williams, April 16 1659. Subsequently he removed to Middletown, where Eudith, his wife died.
     


William was born circa 1620. He was the son of Thomas Harris and Elizabeth NN----. He married Edith (Eedy) NN---- circa 1642 at Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts.1 William died in 1717 at Middletown, Connecticut.2,1

Ralph De Sudeley

     Ralph De Sudeley was the son of Count Dreux French Vexin and Godgifu. His body was interred at Peterborough.1
Ralph, 2nd s. of Dreux and Godgifu. He held Sudeley and Toddington, co. Glouc., and Chilvers Coton, co Warw., T.R.E.. In 1051, when Godwine, Earl of Kent, rebelled and collected an army at Tetbury, Leofric, Earl of Mercia, and Siward, Earl of Northumbria, went to the aid of the King at Gloucester, and Radulfus comes.... de suo comitatu quot potuit congregavit. In the same year, he and Odda, Earl of Devon and Somerset, were appointed by the King to command the fleet. In 1055 he was with a numerous army to protect Hereford against Alfgar, the rebel Earl of Chester, and Griffin, his Welsh ally; but he and his horsemen fled before the battle was effectively joined, and Hereford was burnt by the Welsh.
He married Getha NN----.2 Ralph died on 21 December 1057.3
