      Leonard, one of the earliest settlers of Wethersfield was the son of Edward who came from England, to Watertown, Ma in the fleet with Gov. Winthrop, 1630. Leonard was constable, 1672, Surveyor of highways, 1684. His will dated 24 March 1696 provides for his wife Sarah and bequeaths to two sons, John and Samuel, and to 3 daughters, Mercy, Hannah, and Elizabeth. His personal estate consisted of a horse, two cows, a heifer, swine, and a large number of agricultural implements, and technical tools, a great basket, a long fowling piece, swords, belts household goods, etc; all appraised at 53lbs; his indebtedness 3lbs.
     

Occupation: Constable&Survey. Leonard was born circa 1645 at Wethersfield, Connecticut.1 He married Sarah NN---- circa 1645 at Wethersfield, Connecticut.2,3 Leonard Dix was the son of Edward Dix and Deborah NN----.
